I’ve been performing and studying music for most of my life. I’ve been lucky to have a multifaceted career; Music degrees, piano in fancy hotels and restaurants, private teacher and tutor, garage bands and roadhouses, soundtrack composing and sound design, international corporate events, piano bars, and don’t forget cook, carpenter, painter and ski bum.

I began my musical career with a breath powered keyboard at the age of 7,moved on to classical piano lessons, University music training, and a professional career with years of piano and keyboard performances. My goal as a pianist is to develop an individual style that incorporates my many influences, including the influence of my lifelong study of fine art.

In addition to my own projects, since 1980 I’ve been in the business of composing for media: video and film, documentaries and commercial projects, dance and theater. My formal University training and my years of performing in a wide array of genres and styles has been very useful.

I have over 15 years of private teaching and tutoring experience with students of all levels and abilities. I utilize a practical approach that simplifies music theory and fosters a positive learning attitude, successful practice techniques with a strong sense of musicality. My goal is to combine practical and scholastic knowledge and unify all styles under one unbrella.
